Why did I become a chemistry teacher?  I remember watching the Sword in the Stone and wanting to be like Merlin.  So, as a little kid I used the toilet bowl as my "cauldron" and threw all kinds of cleansers and bathroom supplies into it.  I got some fantastic pink bubbles formed, but I was curious as to how I did it.  Creativity is a must for any scientist as well as a curious nature.

For some reason my students feel I sound like Jack Black of hollywood fame and the music group Tenacious D.  I have no idea if I do or not, but I am hearing it more and more each day I teach at NCHS.
